From the series “Femme Flora”

The plant depicted is a Croton, a striking and easy-to-grow houseplant known for its beautiful, variegated foliage. This painting was an experiment with vibrant colors. Fluorescent red acrylic was my base color, and all the deepest darks are purely phthalo blue. The highlights in the plant's variegated pattern used many different colors, from pure white to a range of neon colors. I finished this painting with some meandering marks using colored pencils in more bold colors.
