"Out of Darkness" Print, 8x8

This is an 8"x8" print of my mixed media painting, Out of Darkness. 

This piece was an experiment in playing with color. I found that choosing a variegated plant allowed a more graphic contrast between dark and light, warm and cool. Colored pencil allowed me to add more details and a level of whimsy in my marks.
