My art printer died! How your order is affected

It finally happened: my Epson XP15000 kicked the bucket.

The friend who recommended it to me ended up going through two of these printers before switching to another model. As mine showed signs of circling the drain, I asked him what the final cause of death was for his, which was a print head failure that cost as much as a new printer to replace. Sure enough and within hours of that conversation, my printer spit out the telltale horizontal banding in solid colors and no amount of cleaning cycles would change it.

I have a replacement model picked out: the Canon PRO-310, a pigment ink printer with 9 colors and a chroma optimizer. This is a significant upgrade from the 6-color dye ink printer I was using previously, as the pigment inks will be more resistant to fading. However, it's not here yet.

How your order is affected:

If your order contains greeting cards or art prints, shipping time will depend on my on-hand inventory, which is widely varied and will decrease during this weekend's Concord Arts Market. If I don't have any copies already made, I'll have to wait until the new printer is in my hands and set up properly. As a conservative estimate, I'll say it could be up to two weeks until items that need printing will ship.

I know not everyone will read this update, so as an additional precaution, I will be reaching out directly via email if your order is affected.

Timely delivery is something I strive for with every order, but unfortunately this is the kind of hurdle a micro-business like mine can't avoid from time to time. As a thank you for your patience and for reading this update, I'm offering a discount code for 20% off on all prints and cards until the new printer is up and running. That code is DYEINKDIED. Every order will help me clear inventory made with the old dye ink and raise money for the new and improved printer.

Thanks for understanding!
