From the series “Human / Nature”

Locke’s Hill in Gilford, NH is an easy hike that takes you up a hill onto a peninsula over Winnipesaukee, with views on three sides of the top. Traveling counter-clockwise starting at the trail sign in the parking lot, this view is the first. Last time I went, this sweet little family was taking a moment to enjoy the sights, which reminded me of my own childhood, so I included them in the painting to give the viewer that same sense of nostalgia.
