From the series “Femme Flora”

This painting depicts a red Chinese Evergreen plant with exaggerated, vibrant colors. It's the star of my series, "Femme Flora", where I'm diving into botanical paintings and using the brightest colors in my paint box. The high art world oftens prefers dull or traditionally masculine colors over the bright and feminine, so I view this series as a conscious act of feminism by embracing my feminine side in my work.
