"Daydream" Cloudscape painting

This painting came entirely from my mind- unusual for my artistic practice. I've painted so many bright blue skies and fluffy white clouds that I feel I can find my way in a piece like this without need to see a sky. The swirling patterns of the sky gave a certain sense of mysticism, prompting me to add the crescent moon and stars, and then the painting was complete.
