"Classic Chicken" Original Pastel Painting

This is an original pastel painting, measuring 9"x12", on sanded pastel paper. I used this painting as an experiment in creating feathered texture using pastels. The pattern on a barred rock or Plymouth rock chicken is beautiful and iconic as a backyard hen, making it perfect for this practice piece. 

This is one of only a few pastels I have available unmounted, so the price has been reduced for this reason. I recommend mounting to acid-free board for framing, and using a mat or spacer to keep the art from touching the glass.
