“Shirley” Original gouache painting

This 6”x6” painting was created special for the Coppal House Farm Sunflower Festival in 2022. I had to find a way to combine my signature chickens and their request for sunflower products. A chicken among flowers is too obvious; she had to become the sunflower. Thus Shirley was born. One question remains; is the flower an accessory, or did she grow that way?
